Arequipa (2,700 meters above sea level or 8,640 feet high), is the 2nd largest city in Peru. Also called the white city due to the colors of their houses and constructions of white volcanic stone (Sillar).
The Colca Canyon is located 4 hours from Arequipa, and is considered one of the deepest in the world.
Day 1: AREQUIPA - COLCA
Early in the morning we will begin our journey in our van to the Colca Canyon, passing through the national reserve of "Salinas and Aguada Blanca", where we can appreciate the majestic vicuñas, which is a South American camelid national symbol of Peru. Continuing with our trip, we will pass the highest part of the road at 4800 meters above sea level. or 15,360 feet. to then descend to Chivay (3,700 meters above sea level or 11,800 feet), accommodations, in the afternoon we will do a small tour of the town of Chivay.
Day 2: COLCA - AREQUIPA
