The following ones are our policies about the rental of vehicles:

Terms

You must be in possession of:

• an international driving license;
• a credit card (for payment and guarantee);
• passport;
• being more then 25 years old.

Insurance

All our vehicles count with an insurance in case of:

• damage to the vehicle passengers and third parties (pedestrians) in the event of an accident;
• partial or total damage of the vehicle.

The insurance is valid only into the Peruvian territory.

Warranty

The guarantee must be sent through credit card on behalf of the person who drives the vehicle. The amount is:

1) for the Toyota Yaris or similar: US$ 1500;
2) for 4x4 vehicles or vans: US$ 2500.

The guarantee will be returned when you bring back the vehicle in the same condition as it was received; should there be any damage, we’ll use part of the guarantee according with the amount of the reparation costs. Should the damage overcome the amount deposited as warranty, we’ll use the total amount deposited by you and the insurance will cover the additional costs of repair. We’ll proceed in the same way in case the car should be stolen.

Use of the vehicles outside Perú

In the event you come out of Peru:
1) to Bolivia: Peru and Bolivia don’t have an agreement for cases like this, so we should stick to the following procedure:

• a notary permit, needed to cross the border. This permit costs US$ 125;
• a temporary export permit: this procedure will take place at the Peruvian border (it will take half-day time) and has an additional cost of US$ 450 (this amount is to be paid in a customs agency at the border itself).

2) in Chile, Ecuador and Brazil, you’ll have to pay only U.S.$ 125 for the notary permit, and it will only take an hour to cross the borders.

Costs to deliver / receive the vehicle at a place other than the original (Drop-off)

If you return the vehicle in a different location than where you started your tour, you must pay the cost of sending the vehicle in its original place according to the distance.

Driver Services

If you want a driver for the rented vehicle, this has a cost of U.S.$ 55 per day.
Note: driver’s food and lodging will be at your charge.
 

Bookings and payments

1) Through our secure Visa payment system. You must consider that Visa operates an additional charge of 7% to the total amount as a commission payment, and that this payment is also subject to a tax corresponding to the 19% of the amount.
2) Sending the payment through Western Union in Cusco - Peru, to our General Manager ERIC ARENAS CENTENO (our company won’t bear the transfer fees).

3) Through a wire transfer to the banking account of our General Manager: ERIC ARENAS CENTENO (our company will not assume the fees applied from the banks of origin or destination of the payment).
