What can you do on your days off in Cusco?

Many people come to Cusco just to visit Machu Picchu and sometimes do not have a well-established itinerary
Some of these people do not know what to do on their days off, perhaps because they do not find any information in Cusco.
That is why I list some not so popular visits in Cusco.

1.- ATVS  IN MARAS AND MORAY
One of the most economical tours in Cusco, although these places can be visited in a tourist transport there are also other alternatives to know it and one of them is to do ATVs. There are also options for a motorcycle ride, bike ride.
Enjoy near 3 hours adventure on ATVs and learn more about the culture and history of these villages in the Sacred Valley.

2.- RAFTING 1 DAY
An extreme sport that starts from the city of Cusco, in this tour you can enjoy the Urubamba river running class III rapids. This activity leaves every day of the year and with combined groups. The trip time by car is almost 2 hours and the time into the river, approximately 2 hours.

3.- CANYONING AND SWING ROPE
A not very popular but exciting adventure located in Limatambo a community close to Cusco. Here you can make a descent of 4 waterfalls and then continue on a suspension bridge to finally make a jump in the style of Tarzan. It is super safe and recommended. Daily departure at 7:30 AM

4.- RAINBOW MOUNTAIN
Undoubtedly, this is a tour that you should not miss because in recent years this mountain has become very popular for its wonderful colors and the beautiful landscapes that exist during this hiking. To get there you have to take a tour and the hiking time is a total of 4 hours. Take in mind that you need to stay a couple of days before in Cusco for a correct acclimatization.

5.- HUMANTAY  LAKE
A 1-day tour that can be done from Cusco, the Humantay lagoon is on the route to Salkantay, so if you are one of the people who has chosen to do the Salkantay-Machu Picchu hike for 5 days, this lagoon will already be included. But if you have not taken this 5-day route, then you can take a 1-day tour. The total walking time is approximately 2 hours.

6.- ABRA MÁLAGA MOUNTAIN BIKING

Preferred by the mountain bikers and by the downhills, all the tours for this place start in Cusco and the maximum point for the descent is 4400 meters above sea level. Much adrenaline on narrow and technical roads, recommended only for people who have intermediate experience.
