The department of Amazonas is famous for its cloud forests<\/strong>, areas with stunning microclimates and whose intense humidity favors the exuberant growth of plants like orchids and bromeliads<\/strong> and animals like the bear and the Andean cock of the rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The capital city of Chachapoyas<\/strong>, the narrow streets and broad Plaza de Armas, preserved as evidence of its colonial past beautiful mansions and lovely balconies<\/strong>. From there you can hike to the impressive Kuelap citadel<\/strong> built by the Chachapoyas, a fierce people that for years resisted the Incas. Located at the top of rocky cliffs and guarded by a giant defensive wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ITINERARY<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Day 1: CHICLAYO CHACHAPOYAS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Lima – Chiclayo
Transfer airport to bus station<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Chiclayo to Chachapoyas we will take the bus (10 hours).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2: CITY TOUR CHACHAPOYAS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Departure: 2:00 pm End: 6:00 pm.
Free morning to take rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City Tour<\/strong> in the afternoon in Chachapoyas, a city founded by Captain Alonso de Alvarado on 5 September 1538 and was established as the capital of eastern Peru from the right bank of the Mara\u00f1on River<\/strong> to the border with border nations.
The City still retains its wide Chachapoyas houses with roof bars, large patios and lovely balconies<\/strong>, surrounded by orchards and gardens, a product of Spanish influence. We also see the main square which has a beautiful colonial bronze fountain, the Cathedral<\/strong>, the Provincial Council and the Diocese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 3: FULL DAY STRENGTH KUELAP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Departure: 08.00 am. Finish: 5:00 pm Tour to Kuelap Fortress<\/strong>, visit to the citadel covered by vegetation, which is built on top of a mountain. It consists of a gigantic wall<\/strong> that has three entrances, two to the east and west, is composed of circular stone buildings. It features diamond friezes on the walls<\/strong> with niches and enigmatic ink known for its shape of an inverted cone. To enter into the strength must be crossed by narrow alleys walled funnels that seem to decline and they were built well to block the entry of the invaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAY 4: WATERFALL GOCTA FULL DAY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Departure: 8:00 am. Finish: 4:30 pm
Departure for Cocachimba community<\/strong>, walk or ride 4 hours. Visit the impressive waterfall “Gocta”<\/strong> with a height of 771 meters, and observation abundant flora and fauna<\/strong>. Return to Chachapoyas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAY 5: SARCOPHAGUS KARAJIA (HALF DAY)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Departure: 08.00 am. Finish: 2:00 pm
Departure towards the village of Cruz Pata car through a lot villages of the province of Luya, walk to the archaeological site<\/strong>, observation of the coffins at a distance of 24 m in height and return to the city of Chachapoyas
At appropriate time transfer to the bus station, departure 7:30 p.m<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAY 6: TRANSFER<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Transfer bus station to the airport
Chiclayo- Lima <\/p>\n\n\n\n
