You will see a <strong>great variety of animal species<\/strong> like ronsoco, caimans, turtles, herons, cormorants and other. Finally we&#8217;ll complete our visit of the island while enjoying the <strong>sunset the most impressive moment<\/strong> of any day in the jungle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-itinerary\">ITINERARY<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-01-cocha-caiman\">DAY 01: COCHA CAIMAN<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll arrive in Puerto Maldonado, Peru&#8217;s capital of biodiversity. Following pickup at the airport, our trip begins with a tour of the city by private bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll continue to Capitan\u00eda, a small river port, where we&#8217;ll board a motorized boat to cross the <strong>Madre de Dios River<\/strong>. As the trip progresses, we&#8217;ll become immersed in the natural surroundings of the jungle while observing the <strong>ronsoco, caimans, turtles, herons, cormorants<\/strong> and other animal species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll arrive at the Lodge and enjoy an exquisite welcome drink. Then, we&#8217;ll settle into our bungalows and have lunch.<br>In the afternoon we will visit the <strong>\u201cCOCHA CAIMAN\u201d<\/strong>, a small lake where you will have the possibility to admire white and <strong>black caimans<\/strong>, that live here thanks to the <strong>abundant fauna<\/strong> characterizing the lake. Scheduled times are fixed and unique (Transfers outside of scheduled hours incur an extra charge).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CHECK-OUT TIME<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Departure from the Lodge is at 7:00 am. It takes 2 hours on the Madre de Dios River to reach the city of Puerto Maldonado.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Therefore, it is recommended that your departure flight be after 11:00 am.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LUGGAGE OR LARGE SUITCASES:<\/strong><br>For your convenience, passengers should only bring one small suitcase. Large suitcases are not permitted at the Lodge, given the lack of luggage storage and the very hot weather conditions.
