ITINERARY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

4:00 PM we will be passing by our clients’ their respective hotels to head to the historic center of Lima, from here we begin this culinary tour, you will have the experience of trying the popular delicacies that locals eat when night comes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While trying some tasteful local delicacies, you will learn more about the history of Peru and interesting facts about the local economy and daily life in Peru. Then, we will continue our tour through the historic center. Where we can observe the most impressive and architectural masterpieces that Lima has, a heritage left by the Spanish conquerors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a small part of the tour, and at your discretion, your guide will suggest trying some of the best street food options, from popular desserts to savory dishes, these extras are optional and are sold by street vendors in their carts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While you will most likely have the opportunity to try everything listed below, please note that the menu may change slightly depending on seasonality and product availability. But don’t worry, you won’t feel hungry at the end of this gastronomic tour of Lima’s historic center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TASTINGS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pan con chicharr\u00f3n<\/strong> \u2013 Sandwich filled with Peruvian fried pork, served with fried sweet potato, onions and \u201climo\u201d chilies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Churro<\/strong> \u2013 from Spanish heritage! A dough made with dulce de leche (caramelized condensed milk).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tamale<\/strong> \u2013 Steamed corn dough filled with pork or chicken. This is your typical Sunday morning breakfast, but it’s also perfect as a pre-dinner appetizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Craft Beers<\/strong> \u2013 Craft beers made with coca leaves and chicha de jora (alcohol made from Andean corn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emollient<\/strong> \u2013 Prepared from various herbs, emollient is traditionally taken for medical purposes, but has become a popular drink taken at night. You will find emollients in almost every corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Picarones<\/strong> \u2013 Known as Peruvian donuts, picarones are made from sweet potato and pumpkin dough, which is fried before serving with sugar cane syrup or dried fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Potatoes with their creams: <\/strong>Potatoes boiled in a creamy sauce made of chiles and Peruvian spices, depending on the day it can be huancaina sauce, ocopa or rocoto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anticuchos:<\/strong> Grilled beef skewers marinated in panca chili, garlic, cumin and vinegar and cooked over low heat. It is usually served with rachi or pancita, corn, potatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pisco Chilcano \u2013 A popular drink made from pisco, ginger ale and lime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
