AREQUIPA COLCA CANYON 2 DAYS TOUR ENDING IN PUNO<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

(We can do this tour starting in Arequipa or in Puno, the itinerary is the same)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Colca Canyon, located 4 hours from Arequipa, is considered one of the deepest canyons in America (3200 meters deep) and an extension of approximately 100kms. It is habitat of great diversity of plants and animals, the most prominent animal that is seen with greater regularity is the Andean Condor, flying bird considered the heaviest and largest in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puno located at 3,855 meters above sea level, is an important corridor for tourists traveling between Peru and Bolivia or vice versa, a fantastic place to visit, full of culture, history and magnificent places like the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ITINERARY<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DAY 01 – AREQUIPA \/ CHIVAY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From 7:30 to 8:00am, we pick up our passengers at their hotels in Arequipa, in the direction of the deepest canyon in the world. We will pass through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, and the Pampa Ca\u00f1ahuas where you can see majestic vicu\u00f1as(That is a South American camelid\/national symbol of Peru), and a variety of migratory birds. We will make a stop in Patapampa at 4,800 meters above sea level, the highest part of the route, to observe the western mountain range and the volcanoes. We will arrive in Chivay at approximately 13:30hrs, we arrange our belongings in the hotel and at the end of the afternoon, we will visit the thermal baths of Calera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAY 02 – CHIVAY \/ CRUZ DEL C\u00d3NDOR \/ CHIVAY \/ PUNO<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After breakfast, at 6:15 am, we will visit the Cruz del C\u00f3ndor viewpoint for approximately 2 hours, where we can appreciate the depth of the Colca Canyon and enjoy the flight of the Andean Condor. On the way back, we will visit the towns of Yanque, Pincholo, and Maca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lunch, we start the trip to Puno, stopping at the viewpoint of Lagunillas, a strategic place where are some lakes that look like mirrors reflecting the sky and diversity of birds, like flamenco. At approximately 20:00hrs, we will arrive to Puno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
