PUERTO MALDONADO AMAZON

DAY 1 – PUERTO MALDONADO / POSADA AMAZONAS
Welcome you at the airport. Transfer to our Puerto Maldonado office. We just bring the necessary things and leave the rest in a safe deposit, this is for keep the boats and cargo light. Then, we go to the Tambopata River port in Native Community of Infierno, and we will embark on a 20km journey along the Tampopata River. After, approximately 45 minutes, we will arrive at Posada Amazonas where the lodge personal will receive us and give us an explanation about navigation and security.

Canopy Tower: 30 minutes away from Posada Amazonas, you can find the Tower Canopy, where you can appreciate the Tambopata River 30 meters high, spectacular view of the jungle and variety of animals such as toucans, monkeys, parrots and macaws flying on the horizon and even perching on the surrounding trees. We return to the end of the day for dinner.

DAY 02 – POSADA AMAZONAS

Tres Chimbadas Oxbow Lake, 30 minutes away by boat or 45 minutes away walk from Posada Amazonas. Once in the Tres Chimbadas Lake. We paddle on the lake searching a nine giant river otters (seen by 60% of our lake visitors) and other native animals such as caimans. Otters are active from sunshine until 8 or 9 of the morning. Return to lodge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Parrot Clay Lick, 20 minutes away walk from Posada Amazonas, we will go to Parrot Clay Lick, where we can see hundred of parrots, parakeets and other species of birds, eating from the clay. We return to the Posada for lunch.

Ethnobotanical Tour, we take a boat for 20 minutes away from Posada Amazonas to the Ñape Centerm place where natural medicine is produced from forestal plants, here we are going to do a visit where explain to us the different uses of the medicines they produce. Return to lodge and dinner.

 

Night Walk, we can walk at night to enjoy the animal sounds. The easiest visualized animal are frogs. Return to Posada Amazonas.

DIA 03 – POSADA AMAZONAS / PUERTO MALDONADO
After breakfast, we teake our boat to Puerto Maldonado and then transfer to airport. End of our services.
