ITINERARY
1D, Salar de Uyuni (Bolivia)
Our tour begins at 9:00 am, departing from the city of Uyuni. Our first stop will be the Train Cemetery, followed by a visit to the town of Colchani, where we’ll learn about the salt extraction process and admire its exquisite local crafts.
We’ll then venture into the vastness of the Salar de Uyuni to visit the Dakar Monument, the Salt Museum, and the iconic Plaza de las Banderas (Plaza of the Flags). We’ll enjoy a unique picnic lunch in the middle of the white desert, with views of Incahuasi Island and its giant cacti.
Afterward, we’ll visit the Tunupa Volcano to observe llamas and flamingos in their natural habitat. To end the day on a high note, we’ll witness a surreal sunset, toasting with a glass of wine and an aperitif before returning to Uyuni at 7:30 pm.
