Saqsayhuamán is an impressive Inca archaeological complex located on the northern outskirts of Cusco, Peru. Built in the 15th century under the rule of the Inca emperors Pachacútec and Túpac Yupanqui, it served both ceremonial and military purposes. The site is famous for its massive stone walls, made of enormous limestone blocks precisely cut and fitted together without mortar. Saqsayhuamán is considered a masterpiece of Inca engineering and architecture, symbolizing the power and sophistication of the Inca Empire. Today, it remains a major cultural and historical landmark, offering panoramic views of Cusco and hosting traditional celebrations like Inti Raymi.

ITINERARY

9am, or 2pm, we’ll pick our passengers up from their hotels, and then we’ll go to our ranch in Saqsayhuaman (10 minutes north of Cusco), there, our guide will give us the horse back riding instructions, then we’ll begin our tour, visiting the most important archaeological Inca sites close Cusco, like: Saqsayhuamán, kenko, Pucapucara, Tambomachay, after 3 hours riding, we’ll come back to Cusco.
