ITINERARY

On this expedition, we’ll visit the charming village of Toconao (Kunza: Lost Corner), renowned for its tranquility, typical architecture, and local crafts. We’ll then head to Laguna Chaxa, in the Soncor sector of the Los Flamencos National Reserve, home to several species of flamingos.

We’ll continue to the highland village of Socaire, where we’ll learn about its church and agricultural traditions. Later, we’ll ascend to 4,200 meters above sea level to visit the Miscanti and Miñiques Lagoons, surrounded by volcanoes and home to high Andean birds such as the horned tagua and the guallata.

Finally, we’ll tour the Salar de Talar, also known as Piedras Rojas, famous for its rock formations with intense reddish hues caused by natural oxidation.

Schedule:

  • Departure: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Arrival: Approximately 5:30 PM.
