Bolivia is one of the poorest countries in South America, but its cultural richness, incredible Andean landscapes, and ancient civilizations make it one of the best countries to visit for the independent and adventurous traveler.
ITINERARY
We started the excursion from your hotel at an altitude of about 3,100 meters. After 1h1/2 we arrived at La Cumbre (4,690 meters), from where we started the descent to Yolosa (980 meters). The road is fantastic, and the vegetation in Yolosa is impressive. 40 minutes more and we arrived at the beautiful village of Coroico (1,670 meters). We ate lunch and then we continued walking through the coffee, orange and tangerine plantations. Later we returned to the city of La Paz.
Note: You could cycle downhill. It’s a spectacular 5 hour uphill journey.
