Sacred Valley – The Lost Inca City of Machu Picchu

Ollantaytambo is one of the Inca Alive City now days because it is still having a Inca Design where the houses of the modern people living there, the way to take the train in the evening to Aguas Calientes makes easier to do this tour because you don’t waste your time spending more days in Cusco.Machupicchu visiting it very early in the morning is one of the great experiences that you need to have when you will get Cusco.

ITINERARY

Day 1 CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES

Pick ups starting at 7:30am, we will pick up our customers from their hotel and go by bus to the Sacred Valley visiting the sites of Pisaqand the Indian Market, at the half way We delight a wonderful lunch tasting flavors of the Andean food and the mix of the Andean food with the international food, after this great lunch we can go to Ollantaytambo the last Inca Alive City, visiting it’s great walls and the huge terraces, after this visiting our bus will drop us up at the Main Plaza, where we can take our way to the Train Station, this walk takes like 20 minutes, we will wait for the train around half an hour or so, depending of the available, the train journey takes like 2 hours, once in Aguas Calientes we will have  one person waiting foir us and take us to the Hotel to spend the night

Day 2 AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Early in the Morning our guide will pass by us in order to pick us up and go to the bus station,  we will take one of the first buses to the wonder of the world this journey takes like 25 minutes by a nice road enjoying the great forest that surrounds Machupicchu,.. once upon in Machupicchu our guide will give us some instructions for our well visit to the site, we will start visiting Machupicchu at the point where you can take the classical view of Machupicchu, after that we will start walking by the streets and great palaces inside the park, it will take like 2 hours and after that we can explore Machupicchu by our own, depending of the train departure we take the bus down from the park in order to take the train back to Cusco depending of the available we can arrive to Ollantaytambo or to Poroy 20 minutes far from Cusco.

TIME OF PERMANENCE INSIDE MACHU PICCHU:

  • The time inside Machu Picchu will be a maximum of four (4) hours from the time of the entry until the departure, between 6:00 and 4:00 p.m., according to the respective registration (it closes at 5:30 p.m.). Except for the tickets that combine with alternate routes 1: Waynapicchu Mountain and 2: Machupicchu Mountain, they can spend 6 hours.
  • The number of tickets to be sold by schedules will be established according to the capacity of Machu Picchu and the use of alternate roads that allow entry.
  • Re-entry to Machupicchu is not allowed, except for reasons of force majeure.
  • The breach of the time of permanence (4 hours) generates the additional charge of another extra ticket, otherwise the immediate withdrawal of the tourists and guides, this with the support of the authorities.

NOTES:

  • To board the train and enter Machu Picchu, you must bring and present your original passport. (Note: Copies and photos are not accepted.)
  • Please don’t take carry on luggages to this tour, the Aguas Calientes Town is plenty of steps and will be hard to walk with this kind of suitcases
  • Passengers should only bring what is necessary for 1 night in Aguas Calientes (in a small backpack), their suitcases must be left in the hotel storage in Cusco, otherwise the hotel will charge 1 additional night
  • We reserve the trains from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo or Poroy at certain times based on availability, and then plan the transfers for those times. If the passenger changes their train ticket at last minute, transfers from Ollantaytambo or Poroy to Cusco can no longer be provided as it is a collective service and transfers are scheduled for the hours initially booked.

FOR SHARED SERVICES

  • Pick-up Point: Hotel pick-up service is only available for hotels located in the city center. If your hotel is outside this area, a central meeting point will be assigned.
  • Tour End: Shared tours end near the Plaza Mayor. Due to traffic congestion in the historic center, returning to your hotel is usually the fastest and most convenient option from this point.
  • Hotels Outside the City Center: If your hotel is located in the city center, we recommend that you bring enough money to cover the cost of private transportation (taxi) from the tour’s end point.
  • Punctuality: Passengers must be registered at the indicated time and place. If you do not arrive at the scheduled time, the service will be considered a “No Show,” and the company will not be responsible or issue refunds.
  • Tour Identification: In shared services, different agencies share schedules and travel areas. Our clients must identify themselves to us, stating their names and the tour they will be taking. Otherwise, errors may occur upon arrival.
  • Staying with the group: Each passenger is responsible for staying with the group and following the guide’s instructions.
  • Tolerance: Our clients are required to stay with the group. If, for any reason, you must separate from the group, you are obligated to inform the guide so as not to negatively impact the experience. Failure to do so could disrupt the tour and affect the entire group.
  • Responsibility for return: If a passenger, through negligence, separates from the group, any costs or logistical arrangements to rejoin the group or return to the hotel/point of origin will be their responsibility.
