4 Days South Peru package: Arequipa Puno and Cusco

Transfer Puno/Cusco FD, passing through Vinicunca

Enjoy an unforgettable journey through the most breathtaking landscapes of the Peruvian Andes, from the depths of the Colca Canyon to the mystical waters of Lake Titicaca and the vibrant colors of Rainbow Mountain.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arequipa – Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve – Chivay

We will depart between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. for the Colca Canyon. Along the way, we will cross the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will observe vicuñas (Peru’s national symbol) and migratory birds in their natural habitat.

We will stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes (Patapampa) viewpoint at 4,800 meters above sea level, offering a panoramic view of the western mountain range.

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Chivay (1:30 p.m.). After settling in, we’ll enjoy some relaxation time at the La Calera hot springs.

Overnight: Chivay.

DAY 2: Cruz del Cóndor – Connection to Puno

After breakfast, we’ll head to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint to witness the depth of the canyon and the majestic flight of the Andean Condor. We’ll visit the traditional villages of Yanque, Pinchollo, and Maca.

After lunch, we’ll depart for Puno. Along the way, we’ll visit Lagunillas, a natural viewpoint with mirror-like lagoons, home to flamingos and Andean wildlife.

Arrival: We’ll arrive in the city of Puno at approximately 8:00 p.m.

Overnight: Puno.

DAY 3: Lake Titicaca: Uros and Taquile Islands

We begin our activities at 7:30 a.m. heading to the port on Lake Titicaca. Our first stop will be the Uros Islands, famous for their totora reed constructions and the warmth of their people.

Living Culture in Taquile: We will sail to Taquile Island, world-renowned for the quality of its textiles. We will take a gentle hike to 3,900 meters above sea level to enjoy spectacular views of the lake.

In the afternoon, we will have a traditional lunch and visit the local museum. We will return to the port of Puno around 5:00 p.m.

Overnight: Puno.

DAY 4: Puno – Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) – Cusco

We begin our journey at 3:00 a.m., crossing the Altiplano towards the Urubamba Valley. After a hearty breakfast in Cusipata, we will arrive at the base of the mountain.

We will hike for approximately 1.5 hours to the summit of Vinicunca (5,036 m.a.s.l.). Free time for photos and a briefing from the guide.

Return to Cusipata for lunch. We will then continue our journey to the imperial city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Overnight in Cusco.

It is important that guests check out of their hotels and take all their luggage with them, we won’t return to the city of Arequipa.
Each passenger is allowed to carry one piece of luggage weighing up to 20 kg.
Pick-up or drop-off at the port of Puno incurs an additional cost of US$10 per passenger.
In our shared services, we will pick-up our clients from your hotel as long as it is located in the downtown.
In our shared services, at the end of the tour, we leave our clients in a place close to the Main Square, because is easier go walking instead the car.. If your hotel is far from the downtown, take some cash with you in order to take a taxi.
Pick-up and drop off times are referential, this will depend on the traffic that can be found in the streets or delay of the other clients, our assistant will be on time but sometimes the transport could delay a few minutes.
