Q’eswachaka Bridge and Palccoyo Adventure SEO description 1 Day

Experience the perfect harmony of Andean culture and geology on this exclusive tour. This journey takes you from the last hand-woven Inca bridge to the incredible “alternative” Rainbow Mountain, offering a deep connection to Peru’s heritage without the crowds.

Our expedition starts at the legendary Q’eswachaka Bridge, a 600-year-old Inca treasure preserved by local communities who hand-braid Peruvian feather grass (Ichu) to rebuild it every year. You will have the unique opportunity to walk across this 30-meter-long masterpiece suspended over the Apurimac River.

The adventure continues into the heart of the Vilcanota mountain range to visit Palccoyo. Unlike the steep climbs of other routes, this striking destination offers a lighter hike to see three distinct colorful mountains. You will ascend at your own pace to 4,900 meters ($16,073$ ft) to witness a natural spectacle of red, blue, and purple mineral layers. We also visit the magical Stone Forest and the historic town of Checacupe, famous for its three bridges representing the Inca, Colonial, and Republican eras.
