PUNO COLCA CANYON 2 DAYS TOUR ENDING IN AREQUIPA
The 2-Day Colca Canyon Tour is the ideal way to optimize your journey between Puno and Arequipa. This experience integrates spectacular landscapes, unique biodiversity, and rich local culture, allowing you to visit this unmissable destination without deviating from your itinerary.
Colca Canyon is one of the deepest in the Americas, reaching 3,200 meters (10,500 feet) at the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint. Along its 100 kilometers (62 miles), it is home to a great diversity of wildlife.
The undisputed protagonist of this ecosystem is the Andean Condor, the heaviest and largest flying bird in the world, which you will have the opportunity to observe in its natural habitat.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: PUNO – COLCA VALLEY
At 6:00 to 6:15 a.m., we will pick up passengers from their hotels to begin the journey to Chivay. During the journey, we will pass through the Lagunillas area, where abundant Andean wildlife can be observed. We will stop in Patahuasi to enjoy coca tea and use the restrooms. We will continue to Chivay, stopping at Patapampa, the highest point (4,910 meters above sea level), from where you can see the Ampato, Sabancaya, and Misti volcanoes. We will arrive in Chivay around 1:00 p.m. Transfer and accommodation at your hotels.
In the afternoon, we will optionally visit the hot springs and medicinal baths.
Overnight in Chivay.
DAY 2: CHIVAY / CRUZ DEL CÓNDOR / CHIVAY / AREQUIPA
After breakfast, at 6:15 am, we will visit the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint for approximately 2 hours, where we can appreciate the depth of the Colca Canyon and enjoy the flight of the Andean Condor. On the way back, we will visit the towns of Yanque, Pincholo, and Maca. We will also stop at viewpoints that offer spectacular views of the Colca Valley and its terraces.
After lunch in Chivay at approximately 1:00 PM, we will depart for the city of Arequipa, arriving at approximately 4:30 PM.

- It is important that guests check out of their hotels and take all their luggage with them, we won’t return to the city of Puno.
- Each passenger is allowed to carry one piece of luggage weighing up to 20 kg.
- In our shared services, we will pick-up our clients from your hotel as long as it is located in the downtown.
- In our shared services, at the end of the tour, we leave our clients in a place close to the Main Square, because is easier go walking instead the car for the traffic jam. If your hotel is far from the downtown, take some cash with you in order to take a taxi.
- Pick-up and drop off times are referential, this will depend on the traffic that can be found in the streets or delay of the other clients, our assistant will be on time but sometimes the transport could delay a few minutes.
