If you’re passing through San Pedro de Atacama, this is a must-do, as you’ll discover the largest group of geysers in the Southern Hemisphere and the third largest in the world.
ITINERARY
4:30 am Pickup from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. The tour lasts approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes. During the tour, we’ll observe more than 80 active geysers and a wide variety of fumaroles and boiling mud pools, experiencing a unique and fascinating geothermal environment. These fumaroles peak between approximately 6:00 and 7:00 am, with temperatures reaching 85°C.
On our return, we’ll observe the local flora and fauna. From the viewpoint, we will observe the small, ancestral village of Machuca. Its few inhabitants are dedicated primarily to herding and cheese production. Very close by is the Laguna Salada, home to families of flamingos, ducks, and seagulls, surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful scenery.
Return to San Pedro at approximately 12:30 p.m.
