2 days tour from Puno to La Paz. Designed for those looking to maximize their time, this strategic route connects Bolivia and Peru through the most breathtaking landscapes of Lake Titicaca. From crossing the Strait of Tiquina to Isla del Sol, visiting the most iconic tourist attractions along the way.
ITINERARY
Day 01: Puno/Yunguyo/Copacabana
Departure from Puno to the Peru/Bolivia border, once there, we’ll do the custom’s paperwork, then we’ll have a transfer to Copacabana, arriving at midday approximately. In the afternoon, we’ll have the Sun Island tour, after it, transfer to the hotel, accommodations.
Day 02: Copacabana/Tiwanaku/La Paz
This day we’ll continue to the strait of Tiquina, once there, we’ll cross the Titicaca Lake by motorboat, then, we’ll continue to Tiwanaku archaeological site. After it we’ll have lunch, then we’ll visit the place accompanied by our guide. Finally, we’ll continue to La Paz, arriving in the afternoon, transfer to your hotel.

- Personal Documentation: Your original passport or valid ID.
- A light backpack for your personal belongings, facilitating your movement during stops.
- The “Onion Effect” (Layering): The weather on Lake Titicaca is changeable. Dress in layers: warm clothing for the early morning, light and breathable clothing for midday, and a windproof or waterproof jacket for the afternoon.
- High Altitude Sun Protection: Due to the altitude, UV radiation is very strong. Sunscreen (SPF 50+), UV-protective sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat or cap are essential.
- Ergonomic Footwear: Trekking shoes or athletic shoes with good traction. You will be walking on uneven surfaces and rocky paths on Isla del Sol, which require stability.
- Cash and Local Currency: Bolivianos (BOB) and Soles (PEN) in small denominations. Many local communities and craft stalls do not accept credit cards.
- Power Bank.
NOTES:
- In our shared services, we will pick-up our clients from your hotel as long as it is located in the downtown.
- In our shared services, at the end of the tour, we leave our clients in a place close to the Main Square, because is easier go walking instead the car for the traffic jam. If your hotel is far from the downtown, take some cash with you in order to take a taxi.
- Pick-up and drop off times are referential, this will depend on the traffic that can be found in the streets or delay of the other clients, sometimes the transport could delay a few minutes.
