ITINERARY

6:20 AM We begin to take our passengers from their hotels in the city center.

7:00 AM Departure from La Paz
We begin the journey by picking up our passengers, and we start our trip towards Tiquina.

10:00 AM Crossing the Strait of Tiquina
A short break to enjoy the scenery as we cross the strait by ferry, connecting the two shores of Lake Titicaca.

10:30 AM Stop at the Copacabana Viewpoint
The perfect photo opportunity to capture the immensity of the lake from a privileged panoramic perspective.

11:30 Arrival in Copacabana
Arrival at this picturesque port, the cultural heart of the lake and the main access point to Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun).

12:30 – 16:30 Tour to Isla del Sol

Explore the cradle of the Inca Empire. This 4-hour tour includes a guided hike through sacred archaeological sites and breathtaking natural landscapes.

17:00 Departure from Copacabana
Continue the journey towards the border.

17:30 Immigration Procedures (Bolivia-Peru Border)
Crossing assisted by our guides to facilitate passport control and customs processes quickly and safely.

20:00 Arrival in Puno
End of service with transfer to your hotel (located in the city center).

WE RECOMMEND TO BRING

  • Personal Documentation: Your original passport or valid ID.
  • A light backpack for your personal belongings, facilitating your movement during stops.
  • The “Onion Effect” (Layering): The weather on Lake Titicaca is changeable. Dress in layers: warm clothing for the early morning, light and breathable clothing for midday, and a windproof or waterproof jacket for the afternoon.
  • High Altitude Sun Protection: Due to the altitude, UV radiation is very strong. Sunscreen (SPF 50+), UV-protective sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat or cap are essential.
  • Ergonomic Footwear: Trekking shoes or athletic shoes with good traction. You will be walking on uneven surfaces and rocky paths on Isla del Sol, which require stability.
  • Cash and Local Currency: Bolivianos (BOB) and Soles (PEN) in small denominations. Many local communities and craft stalls do not accept credit cards.
  • Power Bank.

NOTES:

  • In our shared services, we will pick-up our clients from your hotel as long as it is located in the downtown.
  • In our shared services, at the end of the tour, we leave our clients in a place close to the Main Square, because is easier go walking instead the car for the traffic jam. If your hotel is far from the downtown, take some cash with you in order to take a taxi.
  • Pick-up and drop off times are referential, this will depend on the traffic that can be found in the streets or delay of the other clients, sometimes the transport could delay a few minutes.
