Medium level hike in the deepest canyon in America (approximately 4160 meters deep) the Colca Canyon. In the two days, the trek starts very early; On the first day the hike is approximately 7 hours with trails downhill, flat and uphill; The second day is approximately 3 hours of walking uphill.
Approximately at 03:00hrs, we pick up our passengers from their respective hotels to Cabanaconde. There will be a stop in Chivay, the main town of the valley, where we can have breakfast and continue the journey to the town of Cabanaconde at approximately 3300 meters, where we will begin the descent to the base of the Colca Canyon. Surrounded by spectacular scenery, we will arrive at the town of San Juan de Chuccho where we will have lunch and take a rest and then continue the journey for around 01 hour more down a slope to the town of Cosnihua, then, by a flatter path we will go through the village of Malata. After 6 to 7 hours of walking, we will begin to descend until Sangalle (1900 mts aprox.), Where you can enjoy heated pools between the mountains of the canyon.
Dinner and basic accommodation.
We start the day around 04: 30hrs, with ascending trail 3 hours to Cabanaconde, where we will take our transport to visit the Cruz del Cóndor, to appreciate the depth of the Colca Canyon and enjoy the flight of the Andean Condor. We will return to Chivay, and here you can enjoy the relaxing thermal waters of Calera (optional). After lunch, we will return to Arequipa, arriving at approximately 18:00 hrs.
