ITINERARY

DAY 1: IQUITOS - AMAZON RIVER

Upon arrival in Iquitos, our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the port of embarkation where our boat will take you to where your house will be during the next few days "Amazon Cruise". Once on the cruise, we will have a time for the meeting with the captain and the presentation of the entire crew, in addition we can enjoy various cocktails prepared. Before installation in your rooms, our guide will give you a brief explanation of safety and a tour of the cruise facilities. After the delicious lunch prepared by our chef, in an alternative boat, we will make our first visit to the guardians of the Amazon rainforest, the native community of Kukama. We will learn from their ancestral traditions and also enjoy their live music.
After the visit, we will return to the cruise for a well-deserved rest. In the evening, our bartender will have a planned evening. For a better surprise to your family and friends, you can not miss our cocktail classes.
We will share pleasant moments while we learn the history and techniques of distillation of our flag drink "Pisco". We will have a variety of cocktails based on pisco and exotic local fruits. We will end the day with a delicious dinner.

DAY 2:AMAZONAS RIVER - MONKEY ISLAND - YAGUA NATIVE COMMUNITY

After a refreshing breakfast, our boat will take you to the rescue center "Monkey Island". This center receives a great variety of monkeys that are saved from being hunted for meat or to be sold as pets. Although they are not in their native habitat at least they live on the island without the fear of being hunted or sold again. When you least expect it, a spider monkey or a red-faced Uakari will approach you and try to take your hand. In addition to petting and taking pictures, we learn how these primates are rescued, rehabilitated and released in the forest. We will return to the Amazon to enjoy our lunch.
In the afternoon we will visit the native community of Yagua, where the local chief will tell us how his ancestors decided to settle around the impressive Lupuna tree, which is believed to protect the forest. You will also have the opportunity to practice your aim with the Pucuna, it is a traditional blowgun that the natives still use to hunt their food. You can not leave without participating in the ceremony planting life in the heart of the Amazon, so you can plant your own tree leaving a mark that nobody can easily erase. We will return to the cruise and we will have a very entertaining cooking class.
After dinner, we will have the visit of a local shaman, who will share part of his spiritual practices and traditional healing with medicinal plants.

DAY 3:YAGUA NATIVE COMMUNITY - BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY - IQUITOS

Enjoy a delicious breakfast on board while navigating the Napo River, this day we will arrive at a very historic site, the city of Orellana. It is named after Francisco de Orellana, a Spanish conquistador who explored the confluence of the Coca River (Ecuador) and the Napo River as part of his explorations in the Amazon, this in the sixteenth century. We will have a tour of this city with our guide who will tell us the fascinating stories about the Amazons, female warriors who lived in the jungle, and a story about Orellana's ghost ship.
The boat is now ready for another exciting activity. They will take us to a quiet place where we can enjoy a relaxing fishing morning.
We will return on board to enjoy a delicious lunch as we head towards the community of Yagua. This afternoon, we will have an afternoon of leisure where you can enjoy the facilities of the cruise and the impressive landscape on the fourth deck.
Beware of crazy hour! Tonight before dinner, our waiter will be waiting to serve you from freshly squeezed fruit juices, wines, liquors, ice cold beer to the most exotic cocktails inspired by the jungle.

DAY 4:YAGUA NATIVE COMMUNITY - BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY - IQUITOS

We will start very early to enjoy the sunrise from the Amazon River and the wonderful colors of the bright sky. Then, we will make a little visit to Indiana, a town where we will see a colorful display of many products of the rainforest; Such as: Vegetables, fruits, fish and spices as well as local people who make their daily shopping. We will return to the Amazon to enjoy a delicious breakfast on board.
Then we continue with our visit to the butterfly farm located in the town of San Rafael, known as the morphosapi butterfly sanctuary. Initiative operated and administered by the San Rafael community, promoting environmental education and the preservation of the sixteen different species of butterflies that live there. We will learn a lot about these species, then return on board to enjoy a lunch while we head towards the Nanay River. During the afternoon we will have a free time to rest and relax, we will go on a boat trip to observe the colors of the sunset over the Momon River.
After our dinner, we will go to the third terrace for an unforgettable farewell cocktail.

DAY 5: IQUITOS - MANATEE RESCUE CENTER - AIRPORT

We will take our breakfast earlier than usual, so we will have plenty of time to pack. We will disembark at the "Embarcadero Turístico", where our bus will be waiting for us to take us to our last stop. We will visit the Manatee Rescue Center. This is where aquatic mammals and other endangered wildlife are rescued, rehabilitated and released into the wild.
After the visit, we continue on our bus to the airport, always accompanied by our staff for some additional help.

  • Take arrival flights to Iquitos before 12:30 PM.
  • Take departure flights from Iquitos after 13:00 PM.
  • The itineraries and programs may vary depending on the level of water, climate or the migratory cycle of the animals. Therefore, it is possible that the route and schedules may be modified at the discretion of the guide or the captain of the cruise.
  • The visit to the native communities is an excellent way to contribute to their development since the villagers have the opportunity to sell their unique crafts. There is no commitment, but if you are planning to buy a gift or souvenir, we suggest you bring some cash with you.
