Take this magnificent 1-day tour visiting wonderful places such as the train cemetery, the town of Colchani, Uyuni salt flats, Salt’s Hotel and Incahuasi Island. If you do not have much time, this is the ideal tour for you.
Arrival to Uyuni. Whether by bus or plane, our staff will be waiting for you to direct you to a cafe where you can have breakfast (not included). Then at 9:00 AM we start the tour, first visit the train cemetery where you can find very old locomotives dating from 1899. Then we will continue to the town of Colchani, which is located on the banks of the great salt , here we can observe the activity of salt extraction in an artisanal way and we can also buy some crafts.
We will visit the old salt hotel now converted into a museum located within the Salar de Uyuni, we continue with our trip to the Incahuasi Island (Fish Island) this place is located within the salt flat and is populated by numerous giant cactus with heights higher than 10 meters. From the top you can see the wonderful landscape of the Salar, after our visit to the island we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will return to the salt flats, enjoy the sunset and return to Uyuni town.
