Machu Picchu (Machupicchu) Inca Jungle is a new Combination, between Down Hill Mountain Biking and a Jungle Trek to Machupicchu (Machu Picchu), for this tour like Our Mollepata Trekking to Machupicchu (Machu Picchu), For this trek it´s not necessary to book in advance

ITINERARY

Day 01: Cusco (Cuzco) - Santa Maria

Our private Van will pick up our passengers from their hotels, then We will begin to drive, passing the Sacred Valleyand climbing until the Malaga High Pass 4,500 masl or 1,4850 Ft, there we will have a safety chat with our guide, and then, we will start to descend down to the jungle on our mountain bikes. In the afternoon, we will arrive to Santa Maria, a Jungle Village(1,500 masl. or 4,950 Ft.), where we stay overnight in basic accommodation. In the afternoon we will have the option to do white water rafting in Santa Maria(rafting is not included in the price)

Day 02: Santa Maria - Santa Teresa

Today we will wake up at 06:00 Am. After breakfast we will start walking on the river side trail where we will see a lot of jungle plants, like fruits and many coca plants coffee plants, and a lot of Mangos and Chocolate it will be like the paradise. After two hours of walking we will start climbing a small mountain where we can find an Inca Trail of more than 2 kilometers. After an interesting explanation from our guide we will continue on our way and we will start going down until we are riverside again where we will have a nice lunch between trees and rest in hammocks, after an hours rest we will continue on the trail going to Santa Teresa, which is another two hours further, there we can find hot springs where we can have a nice bath before getting our hotel in Santa Teresa. Once in the town we will stay in basic  accommodation.

Day 03: Santa Teresa - Machupicchu (Machu Picchu)

We will be in Santa Teresa at 1,900 masl. or 6,270 ft., We will walk for about three hours before lunch. Our trail will be river side going by a small canyon where we can see some waterfalls with a humid and warm climate. Once in Hydroelectrica (hydroelectric power damn) we will have lunch and we will rest for a while, after that we will continue by the rail tracks for another three hours until Aguas Calientes. We will go to our accommodation. Dinner will be in a restaurant and we have the chance to go to the hot springs too (entrance not included).

Day 04: Machupicchu (Machu Picchu) - Cusco (Cuzco)

This day, early in the morning, We will begin to walk to Machupicchu (Machu Picchu) archaeological site, once there, we will visit this old Village with our professional guide. In the afternoon we will go down to Aguas Calientes to take our train back to Cusco (Cuzco), arriving there at 8 pm. Approximately.

TIME OF PERMANENCE INSIDE MACHU PICCHU:

  • The time inside Machu Picchu will be a maximum of four (4) hours from the time of the entry until the departure, between 6:00 and 4:00 p.m., according to the respective registration (it closes at 5:30 p.m.). Except for the tickets that combine with alternate routes 1: Waynapicchu Mountain and 2: Machupicchu Mountain, they can spend 6 hours.
  • The number of tickets to be sold by schedules will be established according to the capacity of Machu Picchu and the use of alternate roads that allow entry.
  • Re-entry to Machupicchu is not allowed, except for reasons of force majeure.
  • The breach of the time of permanence (4 hours) generates the additional charge of another extra ticket, otherwise the immediate withdrawal of the tourists and guides, this with the support of the authorities.

NOTES:

  • In our shared services, we will pick-up our clients from your hotel as long as it is located in the downtown.
  • In our shared services, at the end of the tour, we leave our clients in a place close to the Main Square, because is easier go walking instead the car for the traffic jam. If your hotel is far from the downtown, take some cash with you in order to take a taxi.
  • Pick-up and drop off times are referential, this will depend on the traffic that can be found in the streets or delay of the other clients, our assistant will be on time but sometimes the transport could delay a few minutes.
  • We reserve the trains from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo or Poroy at certain times based on availability, and then plan the transfers for those times. If the passenger changes their train ticket at last minute, transfers from Ollantaytambo or Poroy to Cusco can no longer be provided as it is a collective service and transfers are scheduled for the hours initially booked.
