Rafting in White wild River - Cusco Peru

ITINERARY desp list

Briefing in Cusco, the night before the tour in your hotel at 7:30pm, our river rafting  guide will go to your hotel to meet you and explain you all your trip details.

Day 1: CUSCO - APURIMAC RIVER

At 8:00 Am we’ll travel by our bus for 5 hours to the Apurimac Canyon (Huallpachaca Bridge 2000 masl South East of Cusco), to arrive there, we've to cross the Highlands. Once in the shore's river, We’ll have lunch, after it, our guides will give you the safety instructions about the Apurimac River Rafting trip, this will be followed by a demonstration of the equipment, the, we’ll get dress with the rafting equipment and we’ll also put our personal belongings in special dry bags(water proof bags)…, after that,  we’ll give you a basic Rescue Course, with this, you’ll be ready  for this white water river rafting tour. Then, we’ll raft for 1 hour in Class II and III rapids. After that we’ll arrive to the first campsite, there, will set up the Tents have lunch, then our guides around the campfire will talk with you, in order to explain you the next day plans, campsite.

Day 2: APURIMAC RIVER

After breakfast we’ll pack up the camp, and put our entire luggage back in to the dry bags and the rafts, then we’ll begin our rafting trip down the Apurimac, running Class III and IV rapids, stopping only for lunch.
Is important to know that there are some Class VI rapids(that we don’t run), so, we’ll walk them(Those rapids are known as the portages), in the afternoon we’ll arrive to our campsite, we’ll do some river rafting campsite games before lunch, then We’ll be around the nice camp fire talking about the past journey and planning the next journey. Day 3: APURIMAC RIVER - CUSCO

After a breakfast We will start our journey to the Apurimac river down some Class III, IV and V rapids, this day we’ll pass the famous rapids of: Labyrinth, Toothache, You First, Babalua and Last Laugh. After 5 hours we will end the Apurimac River Rafting Tour close the Kunyac bridge, where our bus will be waiting for us, there we’ll have lunch and then we will return to Cusco, arriving to Cusco around 5:00 PM., end of our services.

Class I Flat water, lakes, flat river places
Class II Small Rapids with small rocks
Class III Rapids, Waves, Rocks, amazing to do rafting
Class IV Strong Rapids, Waves, really fun
Class V The hardest level that a person can run, really dangerous
Class VI Not for run!, avoid!

  • Bathing suit and light clothes
  • Towel
  • Sandals like Teva or tennis shoes(you’ll use them on the raft)
  • Short pants
  • Four pairs of socks(to use them on the raft, to avoid the mosquito bites)
  • Warm clothes for the night (fleece, long pants)
  • Sleeping bag, mattress, flashlight
  • Personal water bottle and snack
  • Hat, sun block, mosquito repellent, toilet paper
  • Take your things in a plastic disposable bag

Others you've to know
  • The pick up time in the morning with our bus is an approximatelly time(according traffic, and group size)
  • Compulsory to be able to Swim
  • Level of the river can change according the season
  • We reserve the right to change the itinerary according our clients’ safety
  • The Video and Pictures service is an optional service that gives sometimes a photographer kayaker from our crew, normally after your tour, you’ll be able to buy it (the CD), please just pay it once you’ll have this product with you, after each trip we delete pictures and videos, so, we can’t guarantee the existence of videos and pictures for long period of time
  • Children are required to go with her/his parents(minimum 16 years old)
  • If you have special needs, please let us know in advance
