Bird Watching Pass Malaga - full day

The pass of Malaga is located in the south east of Peru in the province of Ollantaytambo in the department of Cusco. Here you can see some of the best birds of Peru, such as Royal Cinclodes, the mountain range that separates the channels Vilcanota of the Urubamba and Santa Maria. It is 4200 meters. It is the habitat of the Royal Cinclodes, there also exist Queuña relict forests (Polylepis-Gynoxis) and mountain forests of bamboo and ichu.

 

• Itinerary:

 

Day 1: CUSCO - ABRA MALAGA

At 4:00 pick up our Customers from their hotel in our private car, then We will drive to Abra Malaga, in this area we can see variety of birds that are of great importance for ecotourism because it holds a very important habitat for many species of birds.

we started on the eastern flank of the mountain of Malaga to find high Andean birds head canastero chestnut pitajo mountain sunshine hummingbird, hummingbird mountain bearded bull plain wren, hemispimgus Parodi, sleepy, climbers, antpitas, click flower, partridge etc.

At noon we will have a picnic lunch in the woods, enjoying the flora that surrounds this area.

In the afternoon we head towards the western flank of the mountain side to the cloud forest to keep watching for more variety of birds.

At 5:00 pm or 5:30 pm approximately return to Cusco
